  • Cow working

    Did she “co-working”?

    No, she didn’t.

The emerging economy; the motivations for an organisation is to invest in technology. Throughout industries, the flexibility new tech offers is a big driver for freelancing and partaking in the GIG economy (named so as a Gig is slang for  a live musical performance, usually short and casual). When new technology emerges, it is imperative to allow for development, and new markets to be researched. Benefits including insurance, job security and poor policies are not well implemented, though.

A good thing is increased “out of the box” thinking; levels of productivity, no need to commute to work which cuts time, cost and emissions. traffic and job satisfaction.

But a bad thing would be a definitely to define the work-life balance…. We all know how difficult it can be to prioritise, and give one thing your FULL attention (stop flicking through those apps on your phone).

This is effectively flexi-time, “working from home”…

More control for employees though, there’s a brief and a deadline. No office, no official working time (think 9 till 5).

Now, to compare cow-working with simple collaboration, cowworking is more innovative, more committed, intense and in depth.

The industry that it wouldn’t work in, is emergency services, but this moo working is effectively like a constant “on call”.

Seems like in other industries, there’s a real shift in control….

  • Identity

“What do you want to do when you’re older?”

That’s the question you always ask a child.

There’s so much pressure on which career, or even what we do.

    Not, exactly, why we’ve chosen that path, or how we act should do it;

It should be: “Who do you want to be with you’re older”

  • Career

It may (most likely) or may not be blatantly obvious I am currently sans emploi (without job), and hate it. So… I did a masters, completed it. And now want something to focus my energy on. So I’m investing my time into developing a business proposal….

This will take 2 things central to my life:

    1) i love eating out (seen in recent blog posts, recently). Very harsh reviews, but aim to inspire how to improve.

    2) I’m type 1 diabetic (very common, where 1 in 11 of the population has it). Reviews from a metabolic disabled person which gives insight in the nutrition of the ingredients and how it’ll affect the customer (most chefs are solely interested in the flavour of the dish but few know much about the nutritional values)

This is a skill which diabetics must learn, . Diabetic or not, this should also be made imperative for restaurants to provide this information, and to follow the trend of inclusion.
