  • Nature vs culture

It’s a difficult one… I know (& you know from past posts) that with dopamine, the thrill is in the chase. This probably goes for all humans. So it’s “objective” & is ”natural”.

But, more subjectively, I have found that usually, when I know the feeling is reciprocated, it intensifies. So is “subjective”, probably falling under “cultural” influence.

So will attraction, should you go by what your body tells you, due to dopamine release, or what cultural tells you, when you’re more inclined when you think the feeling is mutual.

  • Valentine’s Day

With this big day coming up, there is a lot of focus on finding/having a significant other. Those who haven’t got one, probably feel so lonely, feeling unwanted, usually.

I have noticed a trend in #love where people are looking to find their other. So below I have listed to an audiobook called “5 love languages” by Gary Chapman.

Being a single lady, I hate the dating game. Although this book is targeted to those in relationship. So I am going to see if I can translate all the lessons taught in it. Because all of us want love…

It ends with the 5 love languages, but goes into detail about each one throughout the book. I’ve done all the hard work, spending the time reading it & have condensed down without the jargon. So here are the five:

    1. Words of affirmation.

    2. Quality time.

    3. Getting gifts.

    4. Acts of service.

    5.Physical touch.

That’s them in short, I will be going into detail about each one in future posts. That will keep me busy for the time being.
