    So I try to learn something new every day, what i learned a while ago but stuck with me, probably because it was a fun fact.

    The song around the world by Daft Punk says “around the world” a total of 144 times!

    So that brings me to the two types of memory we have; so it’s episodic & semantic memories. The semantic memory is it tends to be facts, I guess more like facts, then episodic memory is how you feel about something. I guess it comes from the word “episode” because, what I believe, an episodic memory is remembering how someone felt, looked like, sounded like I guess to a less extent how it tasted & smelled.

  • Parasympathetic Memory

    I found this information on a series on Netflix called “Human; The World Within”.

    Our brain has the synthetic & the parasympathetic memory, these are part of the autonomic nervous system. The synthetic is like the fight-or-flight system. Very quick response.

    A build up of even constant synthetic response causes stress within the muscles.

    Then it’s when your parasympathetic nervous system takes hold, kind of like a last-resort.

    The parasympathetic nervous system helps you do the things that the brain does that we just don’t think of.

    A good example which I’ve used before is blinking or even breathing (I haven’t used that before though).

  • 16/5 – Women inventions

    I was doing some cleaning out & found a notebook, which lets me know the old Leuty. It said a bunch of things which I’ll expand on in other for posts but here is one of the best;

    The following things are invented by women. I sound like a feminist but these female inventors really did change the world:

    kevlar. Five exists. CCTV. Circular saw. Monopoly . Windscreen wipers. Chocolate biscuits.

    I learned a few things that surprised me; 99 years ago on the 11th January 1922 the first dose of insulin was administered! & 48% of adult have some form of diabetes, undiagnosed!

    I had no idea diabetes was so common! @ least I’m not alone (at all!)
