  • The Black Swan Effect

The Black Swan effect refers to rare, unexpected events that have huge impacts, and only seem obvious in hindsight. It’s like the butterfly effect; small or unpredictable triggers lead to dramatic, far-reaching consequences.

In short, it explains how humans underestimate the likelihood of extreme situations, but rely heavily on past data.

Important attributes include unpredictability; nothing in the past clearly points defined the future.

It concludes to really big consequences; PESTLE (as learned in my MSc: Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental) or cultural. It’s only afterwards when it becomes obvious and should have been expected.

Black Swanevents can instantly transform entire industries, markets, technologies, and even society itself.

  • Future Directions

If you’ve been following my blog (or even seen some posts) you might have understood that I HATE being out of work.

Aside from lack of income, the main issue was lack of direction. Lack of objective. Most mornings, I’d wake, and think “there’s no reason for me to get out of bed”.

So, both wishing to make others’ who are in my position’s life’s easier (grammar?), along with something to actually do, I started this blog.

As well, it has clarified where my priorities are. What I find important. What makes me, me.

The amount of tumult in spells of posting frequently, to nothing for weeks, helped me realise that this is perhaps, more of a recreation activity.

    BUT…..

  • Fashion

For someone who’s in the fashion industry it’s I tonic that I have a condition where I try to record everything.

    Hopefully it’ll make me unique.

Fortunately, the fashion industry is visually focused so it doesn’t matter if I’m monotonous, just as long as I keep on producing things with the novelty appeal.

  • New Genres

I find that this brain injury is a great opportunity to find new genres. I’m starting from the beginning again. I’m kind of a blank slate. That means I have a world of opportunities to find my new passion. In lockdown, the layman has nothing better to do, so I guess it’s as good as any to relearn everything, to start again. When I say “a blank slate” I mean I am being able to find my old passions, again & even create new ones. It’s my mission to get back the “original Leuty” so i’m in an adults body but have an infants brain. It’s very fornicate that the “original Leuty” is very experimental, & it’s good that the original Leuty has no shame, so I can find out all the embarrassing things I did in my past life.
