Synesthesia is when you replace one sense with another one. A great example is smelling colours or hearing perfume, more than just the sound of the scoosh though. It’s very difficult to get your head around, but I watched a great episode which will help demonstrate my point, it does take some effort on your part but it’s worth it. I’ll give you the series, you just have to find the episode. You will like this series;

The series is called Human, the world within. It is on Netflix! The episode I was inspired by & would recommend is season 1 episode 5.
Among other things, it really does make you think “what’s an ability, & what is a disability?”
It talks about this girl who’s passion is music, but she’s deaf. So she literally feels that music. She perceives the rhythm through the vibrations created by the sound.
The word i a mix ,”Syn esthesia” is from Greek words: “synth” , meaning “together” and “ethesia” “perception” meaning perception.
