Dada 2.0

The dada (or Dadaism) movement was an artistic movement in the early decades of the 1900s. This movement was mainly in Europe, it did however go to the states, starting in New York, where dada began around 1915. It had a kind of tongue in cheek philosophy behind each piece.

Paris seems to be ahead of the time for art, & around 1920 dadaism grew in a big way in Paris.

Marcel Duchamp is a good example of this moment.

As art has an effect on culture, Dadaist behaviours carried on after the artic movement did, & the Dadaist behaviours carried on until the late 1920s.

I am thinking that we are in another situation like the Dada time, hence the title. There seems to be a big renaissance in technology, in particular social media. Maybe I’m just looking @ it though rose tinted spectacles.
