My Projects
I’m turning lived experience into what comes next.
My work brings together fashion, design, technology and my experience of rebuilding my life after a traumatic brain injury.
Although my book and AESCU take very different forms, they both began with the same questions: what makes me who I am, what does it mean to recover, and how can I use what I have experienced to create something meaningful?
Both projects are currently in development.
My Book
Rebuilding didn’t mean returning.
I’m writing an autobiography about identity, memory and what it means to reconstruct a life when your own past no longer feels entirely accessible to you.
The book follows my childhood, education and career in fashion and wearable technology before exploring the brain injury that changed my life. It documents the difficult process of relearning everyday skills, rediscovering the person I had been and eventually deciding what I wanted to create next.
AESCU
Smart insoles that learn how I move and help me move better.
I’m developing AESCU, a smart insole concept inspired by my experience of learning to walk again.
My aim is to explore how sensors, artificial intelligence and personalised feedback could transform ordinary footwear into an accessible rehabilitation tool, helping people understand their movement and work towards greater confidence and independence.
The project is currently at the research and concept-development stage.
I’m still developing what comes next.
I’ll continue sharing the ideas, research and experiences behind both projects as they evolve.
If my work connects with your experience or expertise, or you’re interested in contributing to either project, I’d be pleased to hear from you.
