Believes me, I can’t pronounce it either!
Drawn from the Hopi word which means “life out of balance,” this film is actually very moving. It has absolutely no words at all, it’s a kind of documentary. There was a lot of research put into writing this blog post because it didn’t give me a lot to talk about. I guess it gave me a lot to think about & reflect on. It really does have rave reviews though.
It’s said to reveal how humanity has grown apart from nature. It involves footage of natural landscape
Because it has no dialogue , it makes it’s art through imagery & it’s music (which only has the title as lyrics).
It shows pictures of modern civilization & technology, & pictures of deliberating flats which really made me aware that us, as humans, are on a self destruction mission.
It had a big impact on me, it made me talk a lot about it, which is what cinema should do, make us disguise the film. It made me talk a lot & try to learn more about it.
